Filo pastry - How to make it?
Hi there Sages. I am wondering whether anyone has ever made filo pastry rather than bought it. Is it easy to make? How is it done? Is it worth the effort (as I suspect its a bit like flakey)? Any advice would be gratefully received please.

Funeral flowers
Has anyone made a floral tribute for a funeral ? I have been quoted £40.00 for an arrangement made on a circle of oasis foam , looks very nice but too expensive for me just now. I am no expert but it looks like the flowers were placed in the ring, bit of greenery and a card, quite simple and elegant, easy to do ?????

Colours ran on striped rugby top
I've seen the other threads on this sort of thing but I've got a more specific problem. Just got a new red and white hooped rugby top which I washed separately yesterday evening at 40C, as recommended. Unfortunately, the colours have run and now the white hoops have a pinkish tinge. I've soaked the top overnight in baking…

I did it many times before and all was fine so I must have used the wrong setting  Before I rush off the the shops and splash out on some fancy non-MSE chocolate melting kit, I would welcome any ideas on how to melt chocolate MSE way. I…

OS cleaner for draining board
We moved into this house 2 years ago, it was a new build and had shiny sinks, taps etc. I do try and keep them all nice and clean however my draining board is losing its sparkle and has quite a few watermarks that I'm finding had to shift. I have googled a solution for this and have tried white vinegar but this doesn't…

Can i rescue my awful dinner?
Tonight i've cooked myself what's supposed to be cajun rice with beef (i've used pork), and it tastes awful! _pale_ I've used 500g of minced pork, basmati rice and diced red, green and yellow peppers, but the herb and spice mix i added tastes mostly of oregano and mint which i don't like very much. Not very cajun at all!…
