Colours ran on striped rugby top

I've seen the other threads on this sort of thing but I've got a more specific problem.
Just got a new red and white hooped rugby top which I washed separately yesterday evening at 40C, as recommended. Unfortunately, the colours have run and now the white hoops have a pinkish tinge.
I've soaked the top overnight in baking soda on the offchance that might help and it didn't.
Would using one of those colour remover/catcher sheets and washing it again help maybe? I'm just worried because it's a two-colour top and while I want the white to be white, I also don't want the red to lose its colour.

Hi DeusXM,
It's too late to use a colour catcher but a colour run remover should work. I did this recently and had to run it through the machine twice with a colour run remover to get all of the colour out of the white. It didn't affect the other colours in the garment. Once you get it sorted out, next time you wash the top use a colour catcher to stop the same thing happening again.
Once you've had more replies I'll add your thread to the main thread on this topic as your question may help others.
Colour Run Disaster

I'd take it back to the shop. Washing is a fairly normal thing to do to a top and the least you would expect is for the stripes to not destroy one another.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
