    Ours starts from tonight- shopped yesterday, so here goes:
    (DS in brackets if different).

    Thu 19/5: Fish-cakes, HM wedges and mushy peas (Wee Willie Winkies instead of fish-cake, rest same)
    Fri 20/5: HM Pizza and salad (no salad lol)
    Sat 21/5: Chicken breast casserole with carrots, onions, mash, neeps, roasted parnsips (no neeps).
    Sun 22/5: Mixed grill
    Mon 23/5: Macaroni Cheese
    Tue 24/5: Stuffed Peppers- stuffed with rice, melted cheese and sweetcorn, with paprika seasoning, popcorn chicken, HM wedges (Popcorn chicken, sweetcorn and peas, rest same)

    Aiming to buy nothing else except maybe some Cravendale if needed and bread (although might just make that), and are doing a very cut-back budget this month, just really to see if we can!

    Saturday 21st – Steak and new potato, wine and ice cream (Pushing the boat out a bit as it's wedding anniversary)
    Sunday 22nd – Roast mutton and veg

    Monday 23rd – Shepherds pie using left over mutton
    Tuesday 24th – Chilli with potato wedges.

    Wednesday 25th – HM keema (left over from sat 14th) with rice.
    Thursday 26th – Spicey sausage casseole. (Will be attempting marinade of ordinary sausages for this.)
    Friday 27th – Cheese and tomato pasta with meatballs.


    Other things to make include: Fruit loaf, coffee cake and cheat danishs (using store bought puff pastry) and cheese and onion twists (with the other half of the puff pastry).

    Will also be making floddies (grated potato and carrot burgers), and if I can get some rhubarb at a good price rhubarb crumble.

    Monday - asparagus risotto with salad

    Tuesday - spaghetti with meatballs (will make huge pan of tomato sauce - eat some freeze some)

    Wednesday - quorn lasagne made with tuesdays tomato sauce

    Thursday - sausage, mash and baked beans

    Friday - jacket potato and salad

    Saturday - fish in butter sauce with chips and peas

    Sunday - brains faggots, peas and chips

    Lunches - squash soup and toasties

    Treats - pear cake and brownies

    i have just gone through the pantry as it is overflowing and so are the freezers so i am planning my menu's using stuff up for the next few weeks to not spend money of food until we go on holiday ..so all i need to buy for next 2 weeks is milk and fruit for packed lunches

    breakfast - cereal for kids, toast for me with marmite or HM jam

    lunch - packed lunch with HM wholemeal bread, ham, HM cake/ scone / biscuits
    same lunch for me and DH but with HM pate

    except saturdays when we will have brunch instead with HM sausages, eggs, bacon, etc

    thurs - chicken fillets in spicy tom sauce, with red onionsm mush, courgette and other misc veg that needs using up (non - spicy version for kids - seved with jacket pots

    fri - chinese stir fry veg, spare ribs, rice / noodles

    sat-pasta with smoked salmon (CFR recipe)

    sun - pork shoulder roast dinner, broccoli, carrots (and what ever needs using from the garden)

    Mon - leftovers - made into a pasty

    tue - HM pizza with ham, pineapple, and salad

    wed - eggs, fish fingers, HM chips (DH cooking as i am away)

    thurs- chinese style duck with pancakes, spring onion, cucumber


    fri - HM fish pie

    sat - Kids having sleep over for first time ever:T me and DH going out for meal together with no kids in the house for first time EVER since having them 7 years ago:T:T

    sun - stuffed lamb breast - stuffed with apricots and lemon - roast pots, veg etc

    mon - HM lasagne

    tue - toad in the hole veg from garden

    wed - pasta bake with chicken

    thurs - leftovers night or easy meal eg jacket pots with various fillings

    Fri - travel to Cornwall for holiday:T

    This week we are having, in no particular order this week as things might get swapped around.

    HM Spag Bol - portion from freezer
    Turkey Stroganoff with Rice
    Poached Haddock with Tomato, Basil & Lemon Sauce (from a packet - yellow stickered for £1)
    Chicken Stirfry
    Steak Dinner

    Saturday will be buffet food at my Aunty & Uncle's Wedding Anniversary party.
    Sunday will be dinner at DH's parents
    There might also be a takeaway in there if DH decides he's going to buy!

    Friday - having my brace fitted :eek: so probably a liquid dinner :(

    D - Chilli con Carne

    Wednesday
    L - rice salad
    D - Lamb grillsteaks with potatoes and vegs

    Thursday
    L - Potato salad
    D - Burgers with chips

    Will only with any luck needs to get some more fruit.
