Cake storage question - fridge or not?
Hi all have googled this and come up with conflicting answers so thought I'd ask you guys. I've just made fairy cakes for red nose day they have buttercream icing on. Do I need to keep these in the fridge or are they better off just kept in airtight containers? I'm worried the icing might go too hard/crusty/shiny in fridge…

Have you seen those glass jar things with some sort of liquid in and sticks poking out the top? muffins
I wonder if anyone has a nice basic muffin recipe.I have tried a few but I'm not that impressed. They all seem to be more of a breakfast muffin, not too sweet or cake like. I'm after something like a cake shop type of thing more "cake like" and a bit sweeter, but not like a fairy cake.If you get what I mean. Thanks.

Aldi Kenwood Chef type mixer
I posted a couple of weeks ago about my kenwood Patissier mixer having broken and even though it can be repaired it will still work out as expensive as getting a new one so I am on the hunt for a replacement. How to get charcoal out the carpet?
While turning our gas fire on the other night, my husband cunningly decided to put the control-panel guard down on the (new) carpet. We now have a black charcoal mark on the carpet right in front of the fire place. Any ideas to remove it? I got him to vacuum it immediately, but he had already 'rubbed it in' by then!…

Has it defrosted? And how can I tell?
Just went to get something from the freezer, and it appears that the freezer door was slightly ajar. I last went into the freezer @ 5pm Monday.
