I've just bought some Mr T value crabsticks/seafood sticks and although it says on the pack that they must be eaten before the use by date, it doesn't say when to eat them by once opened.
Does anyone here know? It does say they are not suitable for freezing.
thanks

Hi motherkitty,
I have never eaten crabsticks but I guess you can't freeze them because they have probably been frozen previously.
I would just store them (well wrapped/covered) in the fridge and eat on or before the use by date.

Mine rarely sit in the fridge more than 3 days, but I find that the use by date is normally quite soon after buying so I would just open and use by the date stated (ish).

You can usually freeze them though, so if you don't intend to eat them all soon, put some in a bag and freeze - they only take about 10 mins to defrost.

Edit: Sorry, just reread your post. If they are unsuitable for freezing it's probably as they were frozen before you bought them. I would say they'd be fine for about 3 days in the fridge.
It's only a game
