1kg Shredded Carrot
Hi everyone I just got back from my local Morrisons (after a frustrating and fruitless hunt for Stardrops, but that's another story, another thread!) and couldn't walk past this whoopsie - a 1kg bag of shredded carrot which would normally be used for their salad bar, but the 'use by' date is 12 March , so I got…

Lobster Shells
I picked up two lobsters reduced from £22 each to £5 in Sainsburys and we had the lobster meat in a champagne sauce in a pasta dish last night as an anniversary meal for my parents. The eternal freezer emptying/restocking question
We have a large ancient upright freezer in our garage which holds our main supply of frozen stuff. Every so often it needs to be defrosted, after which I start with the best of intentions, making an inventory and trying to meal plan and run it down. My OH meanwhile is busily restocking it with shopping bargains as he finds…
