Lasagne - how to make it healthier?
I hope someone can help with this. I want to make lasagne to freeze and want to make a healthier version than I usually make/buy. So far I've come up with less meat in the filling, and drain off the fat. Bulked out with chopped onions/carrots and tinned toms and possibly some lentils. What I'm really stuck with is the…

What to do with sugared grape water???
I have about a litre of sugared grape water left over from last years failed attempts at grape jelly :o I'm going to have another go next year (if I can get free grapes again) but use sugar jam instead of normal jam as I think the amount of pectin was the problem. However, the juice has been taking up space in my freezer…

Basics Toilet Cleaner, is it up to the job?
As Martin is always banging on about dropping down a brand or two in the supermarket, I thought I'd try the Sainsbury's Basics toilet cleaner. I think the bottle only cost about 40p. Ingredients: disinfectant, perfume and formaldehyde. Do you think it does a good enough job? What's missing compared to the more expensive…

I recently got a sewing machine for the first time, and think that I have done a fab job of things so far being a complete novice :T . I was given some school gyms for my 6 year old for school. She is quite dinky so I have managed to take the sides in and they fit her better all in all. My problem is that i also need to…
