OS Daily Friday 13th March

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 13th March. This is an 'Over the garden fence' type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly, but if not, it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two Daily Threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new Daily Thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just as good!

Friday 13th if you believe in all that nonsense... Also Comic relief day if you believe in all that nonsense.
My wife is going to school in school uniform which is unusual, I tried to talk her into the St Trinians look, but that was shot down in flames.
Normal work day for me . I was supposed to be going to Birmingham on a job, but decided to leave it a week as tonight is someones leaving do and 2 of would miss it if we went up country.
Went to an inquest yesterday. Bit strained as there were a few unanswered questions and finished with taunts of murderer shouted towards one of the witnesses and a scuffle which had to be dealt with.

Got home on time and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine from the 3 for £10 range at ASDA. there are some really nice wines there on offer. Leftovers for tea.

Off to work soon. enjoy your day and if you are in to comic relief hope you raise a Buck or 2
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!

Morning N9eav & all that follow,

A sad day here as we're taking our Labrador, Penny, to be put down at 10.30am. She's 14 & her legs gave way last night very suddenly. She's been wobbly for a few months but still going out for walks so it's been a shock. We spent last night sat with her, cuddling her & feeding her whatever we wanted (she loved it :A ) She's had breakfast already although I've had to hold her up from the back while she ate. Thinking of the many funny things she's done over the years today & not crying too much. Max, the other dog, seems to know somethings afoot too.

The day will carry on regardless so on the OS front its meatballs & spaghetti for tea, the WM is on its 2nd load & the DW is empty. My DS2 has had his hair shaved to a number 2 for Comic Relief and raised over £40 I'm very proud of him.

(((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))) to any who need them I'll catch up later

Aw no SunnyGirl, how awful. It's such a painful thing to do even though it's done out of love. Big hug to you and to Penny.

She is quite happy still if very dodery and deaf. I will be thinking of you at 10.30. (((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))

    Good Morning

Sunnygirl, I know how hard that is (((hugs))) for you.

Been missing in action recently - cant wait for this week to be over.

Today I am going to be very busy, have been quite lax this week so need to catch up today. Housework this morning then ironing and paperwork this afternoon. Its my 40th next week but tomorrow I have a 'surprise day', no idea what this will be but I am going out at 11am then wont be back till 1am. At least being busy today will keep my mind off of it.

Also need to menu plan today and organise a tesco home delivery so basically I will try not to sit down today! Chilli n rice for dinner tonight.

    Have a great Friday.

    Morning peeps

i woke on the sofa this morning surrounded by animals, both hounds were downstairs with me and the cat was trying to burrow underneath the blanket that Mr Sunny had thrown over me. I`ve not heard the weather forecast at all but outside is beautifully sunny if a little cold. I do hope that it stays that way as today is one of my days off and i can do a few jobs on the garden.

I can`t remember falling asleep at all last night but i slept like a log for the first time in quite a while and i feel so much better - even the nasty rash is a little better and not quite as itchy.

I`m not going to make any plans as such for today i shall do things as i feel like doing them for a change and pretty soon i shall be walking across the fields with the houndies. Thanks peeps for your comments yesterday, i know that really i should have shared ( a problem shared is a problem halved and all that) but i just got so down. Hopefully thats all done for a while now.

Sunny Girl - ((((HUGS)))) for you and Penny and Max, I shall keep you all in my thoughts today. A pm will be on it`s way to you shortly.

I`ll make a move now or i shall be on here for the next hour :D i`ll pop back later to see how you all are.

    Have a good day peeps.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Aww sunny, I am so sorry to hear this sweetheart, it must be a very sad day for you all, take heart in knowing that she has had a fantastic life, and I am sure she would have chosen you for her humans if she had a choice, however hard, you know it i the right thing to do, bless you all, I have had a little tear this morning, give Penny a Hug from me xx

    OK, morning all,

Looks like a nice day here, got a load in the wm, which I will hand out before work, dd is staying home today, as she has her blood test at 11, and its too complicated to get her to school after. I will ask her to hoover through, and have a genaral tidy :D

Tacos for tea tonight, dd's turn to cook, so I shall be back on my Wii for an hour :T I love it, what with that and the walking we do, I can feel it doing me good.

Candy, get yourself on here and let us know how your dd is getting on, it must be any day now.

here are several comic relief things going on at work today, I will report back later.

Peyton, I am glad your dd is home xx

    Have good days all xx
