Well i'm off today until Tuesday - going to give the house a quick blitz and then pack for my trip to Stratford - I hate packing with a vengeance and always put it off which only makes it more stressful - when will i ever learn.

Sunnygirl.I'm so sorry about your labrador,Penny.Hold onto those lovely memories.
I'm going to have to spend the day scouring charity shops to try and find something suitable for my grand-daughter to wear for her drama exam.They changed costume ideas last minute and she only has the weekend to sort it out.Took me ages to find something suitable last time.
Have no idea what we'll be eating but cupboards/fridge/freezer are full so bound to be able to knock something together.

I showed master tru the bag I've made out of his old jeans, he didn't believe I'd made it and said it looked like a shop bought one :j The seams inside are a bit messy but if I folded the demin over any more the machine refused to stitch :rolleyes:

The rabbit is very entertaining at the mo. She won't stay out of her cage for long, she's nesting. She comes out, leaps about like a mad thing for a few mins then goes back in to rearrange her nest. An hour later she does it all again

It's shopping day today. No-one will be happy later, when they're eating cheap plastic food, but it's their own fault. They may have (temporarily) won this battle, but I will win the war

Hugs to everyone who needs them. Sun is out here and the day looks lovely....shame I shall be at work.

I'm feeling really dispondant lately. Work is really really quiet and its doing my head in. I know the way to look at it is at least I am lucky enough to have a job. But spending 8 hours sitting at my desk with aboslutely nothing to do isn't much fun. We are making people redundant but I'm fairly sure I'm not one of them. Not that I want to be out of work but would like to be actually doing something. DH won't let me change jobs or look for something else because of the uncertainty at the mo and I can kinda see his point, but he doesn't seem to try and see my point and I'm sooooo grumpy at him and the kids. He's lucky cos his work is soooo busy he hasn't got time to f@rt!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Right gonna get on and get ready for work now.

(((((((((((((Ruth))))))))))))))) I agree, there's nothing worse at work than sitting with nothing to do all day long. The day seems to drag on forever that way. I used to feel much more tired and grouchy than when I'd had a very busy day at work. Hope things pick up for you soon.

It's morning again and despite a good night's sleep last night, I'm very tired today. It seems as I get older it takes much longer to feel better after a night of too little sleep. I'm debating on a nap or just pushing forward with the housework at the moment. The way my eyes keep trying to shut, I think the nap will win.

Tea tonight will be the yorkies that didn't get made last night with LO roast beef, veg and gravy. I'm trying to think of something else I can put into the oven at that temperature that I won't have to check on. I've been told that the cardinal sin is to open the oven door when the yorkies are cooking. Our cooker/oven is very old and a power hog. Plus it does not keep the heat in very well so I always try to use it for multiple things at the same time.

Turns out DH may also be working on Sunday now. That would make it 13 days out of the last 14. :eek: One of the guys he works with is out on the sick and they don't think he'll be back for his shift then. DH may spend his holiday trying to catch up on sleep I believe. He also has a gathering to be at tonight as one of the fellows in another area is leaving. He's not too keen on going as he barely knows the guy but will make an appearance.

I'm off for now to do whatever it is that me and my sleepy eyes can do for now. Hope everyone has a good day, or as good as it can be.

Sunnygirl - so sorry to hear this. But 14 is an incredible age for a labrador so your furry friend must have been really looked after and loved. Hugs

This week has been an OS disaster. Little bear has been up since 6, playing nicely today, and I am officially shattered. Dear heart wouldn't let me do anything last night in case I fell asleep in the middle of it I think the cold I had last week is still wearing me down as I am absolutely exhausted. I am a bit embarrassed because other people on here have real things wrong with them, but yesterday was a real struggle because I could barely stay awake. When little bear was born I did all the night stuff for the first three months, all the stuff during the day (I've never been good at napping during the day) and was not this tired.

So today I hope to (in very small stages) complete clean the kitchen as this weekend I should get a new sink unit. :j:j:j:j But I am so tired I'm having trouble typing this

Morning all,
Got to go shopping later for w/end meals, I'll see what's on special at Morries and plan menue then.
Washing from DD's dried overnight so I'll get that ironed, I gave her a king size broidere anglais (sp) quilt cover and pillowcases and it's a sod to iron.
Will get DH to vacume down stairs and I'll polish because he just dusts around things.
Think I'll make some quiches for today's and t/morrows lunches, I've some hard cheese, soft peppers and soft mushrooms that need using up.
DH has cleaned the cooker so just the floor to wash and surfaces to s&s.

SUNNYGIRL, Will be thinking of you, we still miss our Rufus after 10yrs.

Well OH is up, its a brightish morning, but I know its cold, I can smell it!!!

Yesterday I bought a window cill greenhouse from Aldi, going back this morning for another one...........then to the library. After lunch I am off to have a natter with my quilting friend and sort out her computer for her.

On my second mug of coffee already........

Hoping to get the answers to some questions re the contract for the house later today so we can sign it and get it back to them.
