    Hi all,hope all is well.
(((Sunnygirl)))-Thinking of you &your family, its such a hard thing to do,but the kindest and best decision you could make for Penny.

I've had a mad week, what with looking after the neighbours dog,and seperately taking ours out i feel like I'm always out.Thought I might have lost a pound or two(but not  )

DS1 rang on Wednesday asking if he can stay with us for a bit,as since he was made redundant he and DF have been having one or two probs and she feels she needs some space.Fair enough. So I have been busy sorting out the spare room, swapping curtains around etc to give it a more 'manly' feel.He needed a desk for his Mac so I've moved mine out of our 'office',and bought a small pc trolley from Argos for mine, fits in better anyway.

Trouble is theres stuff I have to make a new home for as I've emptied a cupboard for his clothes (I kept bedding and towels in it) so although at the start of the week I had a tidy house dueto me looking at flylady- now I dont!Ah well...better get at it again.Have a good weekend folks. xxx

    Afternoon everyone

Sunny Girl - (((HUGS))) for you and Max and all of your family, hope that you are ok.

Well i`m bushed :o i walked the houndies and they saw some friends and also made a new one, we came home and they both went straight to sleep. Monster hound didn`t sleep for very long though and has been running around the garden like a lunatic :rotfl: I`ve hoed the 2 borders in the front garden that i weeded earlier and then i`ve weeded part of another one and then i also soaked my new fruit shrubs and planted them in permanent places :j i`m all excited but i know that they won`t fruit until next year.

The old sprouts have been dug up out of the back garden and the broccolli has been trimmed a bit, we didn`t get a single sprout off the plants but the broccolli now has heads on - very small but i`m hopeful that they will continue to grow enough to get some food from them.

We have an old connifer that we cut right down last year and i`ve re-attacked it with a machete and a saw, its nowhere near gone yet but i shall have to do a bit at a time as i now ache all over :o

Rage in Eden - ((((HUGS)))) for you, i hope that things get easier for you. I could have written your post myself not so long ago.

I`ve just realised that i have no idea whats for tea tonight  everything is still in the freezer, i shall have to go and have a poke around in the kitchen and see what i can find, the kitchen is like a tip atm :o it`s also raining outside now so it looks like i got the gardening finished just in time. I may even treat myself to an hour on the sofa shortly :D

    Have a good afternoon peeps.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Good afternoon all,

Obviously back from the vets, I called in to my parents then my best friend has been round too for moral support :A It was very quick & peaceful for Penny. She was very excited when we got to the vets, tail wagging & sniffing at the displays of food with great interest ;) whilst all the time her back legs kept going from under her. I sat with tears streaming down my face while the other people waiting looked at me in a very sympathetic way. We went in & hubby lifted her onto to the table. She was panting & excited but very calm. The injection went in as we cuddled her & told her how much we had always loved her & she was gone in a matter of seconds. All very peaceful.

I've vacced round & made the meatballs in tomato sauce for tea so I only have the spaghetti to cook now. Am feeling very drained so will have an early night tonight. DH is in bed now having a couple of hours as he's starting his 5 nights for this week tonight. DS1 is camping out with some friends tonight having had very explicit instructions on not drinking, being rowdy or anything else  We know the land owner & have asked permission so it's legal :D I'll be too tired to worry.

I'll catch up with everyone else's news tomorrow but ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))) if you need them xxx

    ((( Rage in eden)))

Ever since DH moved the computer I keep losing internet connection- we moved a phone line just now and - cross fingers- things seem a bit better.

He keeps promising that when we move everything will be properly and professionally done!!!

If we could get a buyer for the house - that would help. Oh for a Spring bounce! I'd settle for a dead cat bounce if it would help!!!!

Taking DD to Monks Cross tonight as dotty P etc have 20% off for store card holders and I want to treat her to a few tops etc.

Have just heard we are going to a great Aunt's 85th party in April so want to look for a nice present. She loves Royal Doulton and a few years ago I found a small mantel clock in her favourite pattern which he loved and I would like to do as well this time.

We have some old film tapes which we need to get converted to dvd but it will cost a fortune!!! Wonder if one of he DDs has a friend that could do it?

Tea will be left over curry for DH and DD and the youngest will be treated while we are out.

Hugs to everybody and see you later.

  • I've just noticed that both SunnyGirl and I hail from Mancunium - must be some kind of manchester miasma of miserable-ness 'round our way this morning........ see what i did there? :D I actually feel a lot better and have even had a hunt in the wardrobe and found 4 unworn blouses for e-bay (BNWT). Obviously I'm made like a pair of curtains - "Pull yourself together girl" :rotfl:

SunnyGirl - i think you were very brave. I can't imagine what making that decision must be like. We had a budgie who had "stomach motility issues" but the vet said he was perfectly healthy apart from that which was a minor ailment so we just had to give him medicine (yes, I know, a budgie - everyone laughs at that). We did know the end was nigh though as one day he couldn't fly very well and then he went a couple of days later. Happy as larry to the end though. ((hugs))
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
Please insert random moan about tired - can't think what has got over me.

I did get to shut my eyes for (literally 3.05 - 3.10) five minutes, but then evil cat wanted to be the other side of a door...

Little bear is napping now, so I am going to ignore all that needs doing and surf.

    Hugs to all

Rage in Eden - if we didn't moan we would explode. Then we would only have to clean the mess up. And hugs - you sound like you have more than earned your moan.

    ((((((SUNNYGIRL)))))))

PIPPA - I read the other day about people going round and nicking those charity sacks off people's door steps  how awful is that....

RAGE IN EDEN - my hubby also used to do this, until I reminded him that what i do on the computer earns us money and he could check his emails, surf the net and pay bills - all the stuff that doesn't bring in money - after i was done in the evening. Unless of course he wanted to be the only wage earner in the house in which case I'd be delighted to let him on there all day.

SUNNYDAY - my sprouts last year were like tiny marbles. Got more from the green tops than the rest of the plants.

SYBIL - Evil cat needs a fast hard spray from a water bottle round the side of the door.

Sent everything away at the post office earlier and managed a quick shop in Mr T's. Easter eggs are all bought for the family's kids now as well while there is a decent selection of 99p ones on the shelves.

Then I did flea drops on all three cats and shaved the chest of my long-haired tortie who won't let me groom her there, so i'm forced to take direct action every few months on the matts that develop.

It's just me, the laptop and a big bar of Dairy Milk for the rest of the afternoon. :EasterBun

Sooooo looking forward to chinese tonight. Hubby and I only have take away on special occasions so it's a real treat. Might even be enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Woo hoo!!!!
