What to do with sugared grape water???

I have about a litre of sugared grape water left over from last years failed attempts at grape jelly
I'm going to have another go next year (if I can get free grapes again) but use sugar jam instead of normal jam as I think the amount of pectin was the problem.
However, the juice has been taking up space in my freezer and generally getting in the way, it's too sweet to drink as is - any other ideas on what I can do with it?
Thanks

Can't you try re-boiling it with some lemon juice or commercial pectin? You can make jam using frozen fruit so I can't see why this wouldn't work, you just need more pectin if you use frozen fruit.0

I did this with the second unsuccessful batch floyd - I used about half a jiffy lemon and it did almost set but it had a distinct lemon taste to it rather than grape.
I've used the failed attempts in place of golden syrup in flapjacks and you could even taste the lemon in there so I'd be reluctant to reboil and use even more lemon.

Do you like sweet and sour sauce?
Trying to imagine the flavour of your lemony sugary grape water, but
you could possibly use it as a base in this recipe. It will keep in the fridge for ages and you thicken it as you make the dish each time.

Hi Bronnie - this batch is just the muslined grape juice with the added sugar (from memory 1pt liquid to 1lb of sugar) so no lemon in. I love sweet and sour so may make a small amount from it though (no one else in the family does:rolleyes: )
I'm very taken with your suggestion tattoed bum - I might wait for the weather to perk up and make a small amount of sweet and sour and try the rest as a refreshing summer drink

Another idea! Could you use it to make chutney?
Trying to think of things requiring a lot of sugar. You could make a fruity chutney or a spiced fruit chutney maybe.0
