Please can someone tell me if self raising flour which is past it's sell-by date (end of jan 09) is ok to use?

Yes it should be fine to use. I'm not sure if it will effect the rising or not. If it does you can add a pinch of baking powder and salt to it.

I`m also halfway through a bag dated Jan 09 and it`s fine.
I haven`t added anything else to it and the results are just the same as if it had been in date. Happy baking
