Potato Scones - yum
If you're scottish you'll love this recipe for potato scones. Just made a batch to use up some tatties. Yum Yum. 500g mashed potato 130g flour 6 tablespoons of melted butter 1 and a half teaspoons of salt. Mix all together so you get a very soft dough. Shouldn't be too sticky, but be warned it is very soft. Roll out…

I recently bought a second hand solid oak table which is generally in pretty good nick to say it is about 80 yrs old. I can't afford to pay to have the table…

HELP! How to give plain pasta flavour with dried herbs and spices???
My kids have got a "lurgy" at the moment which the doc says is a mild dose of gastroenteritis and I've got to give them food as plain as possible until it clears up - like plain biscuits, toast, rice, pasta, etc... Do you eat the plasticky bit under the red wax on Edam?
My husband cuts it off, whereas I've always eaten it. I think he's always been told it's bad, but it was always my favourite bit, oddly, lol! What does everyone else do? I'm asking cos his fad about it has got me chopping it off for our 2 kids, and has made me paranoid that it's got something carcinogenic in it or whatever…
