Sunlight fading carpets - will net curtains help?
We are fortuntate enough to have a very sunny house, the sun pours into the dining room. However this is causing our carpet to fade. If we put net curtains up at the patio doors will this stop the carpet from fading any more? Thanks

Silicone cake moulds
Hello I've managed to aquire some shaped silicone moulds but on the instructions it doesn't say anything about greasing the moulds before baking a cake in them never used these before so do I grease them or not:confused: tia pam

cooking "proper" rice and burt pan
hi i bought a huge suppy of proper rice rather then buying the expensive rice in a bag and microwave for a minute. i tried cooking it lastnight and i dont know what went wrong but half of it wasnt cooked and i burnt the pan. so how do i cook it? and how do i get a really burnt pan back to normal? thank you in advance

Ironed logo on t-shirt
Master tru has just ironed his t-shirt, it's light blue with a dark blue logo. He ironed straight over the logo and it's now smudged :rolleyes: Is there any way of getting the smudged bit off? Any ideas what it is, where to get it from and what a substitute for it would be? I was watching The Barefoot Contessa and she always uses kosher salt. It is similar to rock salt etc? Thanks

Can I freeze roast beef
I cooked a huge joint of beef yesterday, had it for dinner yesterday and today, but still have a huge lump left, I would like to make it into a curry, but will not have time to do it till next week, so is it ok to freeze it ? Thanks Redruby x
