Morning All
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Friday September 14th 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Cant believe Im first - that feels scary.
Have woken with a headache so just about to take some tablets. Need a clear head today as going to clean my house from top to bottom. OH will help me when he gets up at 10am, it hasnt had more than a lick and a promise for 7 weeks!
Need to do a little paperwork today shouldnt take long.
Think is hm pizza for dinner.
Have a great day.

Good morning Essex-girl and all who follow.
Where is everyone? Hopefully all the ones who haven't been sleeping are catching up on some well-deserved zzzzzzzs. I woke up at 5.30 and couldn't get back to sleep so got up at 6.00. Have been a busy bee. WM is on, dishes are washed, fruit salad made, kitchen has been tidied and some paperwork has been completed. Just about to start some exercise before I have breakfast.
PenPin good luck today. I'm sure there is someone else I should be mentioning here. Will read back through the threads and come back and edit.
Last day on my own at the office today. :j Boss is back on Monday and his desk will be overflowing with files because I have been a busy bee at work this week too.
Have no bread in the cupboard but thanks to the OS board, I am much better organised and have some wholemeal rolls in the freezer so I don't have to rush out to buy bread. :j Still haven't bought meat for lunches ( ) so it will be egg salad on wholemeal rolls for lunch and a toasted roll for breakfast.
Chicken casserole for dinner tonight.
Have a fabulous Friday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Hope everyone is well.
My tummy is turning and I feel sooooo nervous about today:eek:    Will have to get there for 10am for bloods and if there OK, then they will go ahead.
We had an incident last night that I really cant go into, but it has left a very sour taste in OH & I's mouth with our BIL/SIL. Really didnt need it last night and didnt sleep very well because of this.
Clothes need to be hung on the line, DW emptied and toilet scrubbed.
Anyway, I have 101 things to do before we leave.
Hugs to all.
Hopefully hear from me tomorrow.
A very scared PP:o

Raining here today, and it is still quite dark - Winter is definitely coming
Thought of doing fajitas for dinner, but having seen Essex girls plan to do hm pizza, I might have a change of plan - suppose I could do both
More tidying , I want to try to put the case on the spare bed so I can start packing, but at the minute, I can't get near the spare room
Good luck Pen Pin, I'm sure everything wil be fine
Hugs to anyone who needs one, have a good day xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning. Looks like you are first. I was thinking second page myself!
Best sleep ever I think... Went to bed about 9.30 and got up 6.45. Pretty good.... Day off today and the weekend so had a glass or two as well... hic.
Got the grass cut yesterday too and rewarded myself with a big steak.
Today I was hoping to go fishing, but my friend did not call with the offer of a day in his boat, so I guess something came up. I may attack the office... I have been thinking about redecorating and getting a new carpets etc. Today could be the day! It's only small 6' x 6'6 so a small remnant and one pot of paint should do it.
If I am in the mood later... paintbrushes will be coming out..
Finished the inquest I was involved in tragic really. click on inquest if you are interested. No TV crews, so no telly appearance for me.
Well enough for now... Cheers.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Morning everyone, and best of luck PP for later today.
I'm doing my 'nosying in every day but only posting once a month' thing! Have today off, am heading to OH's parents at about 1pm. So far have:
*washed up cups and glasses
*emptied tumble drier (and not put away was probably packing most of it)
*put OH's work clothes in wash
and need to...
*wipe bathroom
*dry clothes in wash
*pop to Boots for prescription and vitamins
*when post comes, either pay Elephant our cancellation fee or deal with the penalty charge notice we unfairly got (and have lost the first appeal. B*stards).
*eat breakfast!
*dye my hair

Hi all,
Just popping my head over this fence to say hi. In major declutter mode at the moment. Have a couple of bags for a charity shop today. Gave 2 bags of read mags away yesterday to friends.
Need to do several things - tidying, food shopping. Dunno what to do first! Fancy going to the market to buy stuff for a stew/soup.
Have a great day all,
Edit: Best of luck to Penny-Pincher.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!" Less things. Less stuff. More life.Fab thread: Long daily walks

Morning Essexgirl, I've been hovering waiting for someone to start the thread, I'm not convinced I'm 'allowed' to.
Off to work soon, DW & WM are both on, Thumper & Ogden are fed ,watered & released & fish are fed. I'm a bit worried about Thumper, he seems to be drinking a lot, but I have no idea how old he is. He still happy to be picked up & cuddled & doesn't feel skinny, so maybe it's just the heat making him thirsty. He was a bag of bones when we found him, soon put on weight with regular food.
Hubby has another 2 days work next week, so that's a help. As soon as he get's a few days off, he's going to build my 'square foot veg bed' ready for next year, mind you he was going to paint the upstairs bedrooms between lodgers & then ended up working 6 days a week throughout the 6 week gap!
I haven't had time to read yesterdays thread as I still can't get the lodger off the pc, I looked into a wireless router, but it won't help as her pc is a school pc, she'll need to get her own. I've got a router anyway, cheap from a friend. I'm planning on advertising for a Mon to Fri surfer, when the current lodger leaves.
Hope everyone has a good day
Hugs Hester
Wow I must be a slow typist, there was only Essexgirl on when I started, GM to everyone else & hugs to PP

Hopefully should only take them a few hours.
