  • Good morning everyone!

Essex - you did a great job of starting the thread :j

Hester - course you're *allowed* Just put in the sticky and off you go. Are you sure that your lodger's PC won't work through your wireless router? I have a w*** laptop that I've set up to run off my home router.

N9eav - surprised that the inquest results weren't on TV or radio. Thanks for the link - will read later.

Pen Pin - sending positive vibes for today :A

I have a bag of leeks to make soup, today. Going to set up some bread so that we can have cheese and olive for lunch tomorrow, and some bread rolls in the freezer for lunches. Been invited to a party tomorrow (the father of 3 chaps that I know) so making a cake for him. Think I'll do a big chocolate one, and follow Pooky, and let the Small Penguins *decorate it within an inch of its life* :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have some wood arriving today. DH and I are building a curved trellis to divide up our garden. Can wait, as I can then go and buy lots of plants to grow up it :T

Have a great day, Penny. x

  • Hi everyone
((((hugs)))) to all, especially those who are not well.

Everyone seems so organised this morning with DWs, WMs, BMs on and knowing whats for tea. I am still reeling from starting new job and am totally exhausted. Kids have been really horrible this week too. DS is particularly bad and ran away last night. His friends Mum brought him back. He says we always shout at him and only notice him when he does wrong and that he hates us. People keep telling me its his hormones but despite him being 15 he hasn't even begun puberty yet.

P.S. Now somebody has robbed one of my stars, I used to have 2 and I don't want to be demoted on top of everything else!

HESTER - tell-off time. "I'm not convinced I'm allowed to..start the thread" - we know you're joking? - but God the thought kept going through my head yesterday of your comment in the "memories" thread of sitting on the doorstep for hours in all weathers as a kid waiting for your parents to come home - and wondering whatever sort of area it was that no kind housewife or granny ever went quietly ballistic and invited you in sometimes for a cup of tea and watch of the tv whilst you waited - rather than leaving a kid to get drenched! I thought that was awful - and the matter-of-fact way you told us, like you thought that hadnt been too bad........ then, subsequently, the bit about being given potatoes by a farmer, as you were often hungry. and I wasnt spoiled by any manner of means - there wasnt enough money in our house either... but...

So - hugs for the day Hester - and I dont want to hear any more jokes along lines of "not being allowed to..whatever". You go girl - you're allowed to do any damn thing you want (well... within ethical/legal boundaries of course:rotfl: :rotfl: )
  • Frogga,

Not sure, but maybe the raw onion sandwiches had something to do with the other mums behaviour :rotfl:

    Good luck to day PP.

Hoping for a better day today. DD certainly seem to have woke up in a better mood. Planning our usual trip to the swimming baths this morning. While I out I'll leave the washing machine on a long hot wash for the towels and nightime nappies. This afternoon it cleaning and pizza making for tea.

    Have a good day everyone

Hardup-Hester - cant believe your lodger is still hogging your pc! I would charge her rent for the privelidge of using it! Yes you are allowed to start the thread!

Pen-Pen - enjoy your party tomorrow!
Grannyboon - glad your mum is ok!
Twink - cant believe also how cold its getting on an evening!

Family therapy went well. Was in there for over an hour! Came out with banging headache. A lot of issue's was raised again, this should have been our last appointment, but he's happy to see us again, in the mean time, he will chat to his "team" and see if anyone else would take over. Im not too concerned about seeing someone else, I just dont want to be ignored, especially after nearly 4yrs of going! The advice & guidance does help!

Its that horrible drizzle rain today!
Got to try and get tyre replaced today, MOT is booked Sat am.

Not a clue what's for dinner, will rummage later.
    Have a great day all
