I've just had a catalogue put through the door. Not seen one of these for years.
I've heard that there are several products that sre similar to those from Lakeland, but at a fraction of the price.
What would you advise me to buy, and what to avoid

Hi,
I worked briefly as a distributor over the summer and can advise against the 'bra balls'... They have some kind of design error that makes them open up in the washing machine - really helpful huh?? Also some of the clothes airers (the ones with pegs) have quite flimsy fittings so would not hold anything heavier than socks...
On the plus side, I believe most of the kitchen appliances are good quality and I came across one customer who swore by their storage boxes (the tupperware ones).
Hope that helps,
Sarah xx0 -
i got the egg timer that you drop in the water with the eggs whilst there boiling, its ace:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

If the egg timer is like the ones at lakeland they are good. But do them slightly less than you want - if you know what I mean!0

I can't say I find it particularly cheaper than Lakeland, but it has one or two items not available at Lakeland. I like the EasyIron mesh (about £2), which you place over fine fabrics, suits in order to iron without leaving shiny marks0

I like the veg bags, my potato sack is my fave!
I have a bra thing that you put a bra in and zip it up, means I can wash my cheaper ones in the machine which saves on the hand washing. Ovenliner has saved me in a lot of elbow grease. I have some of their tubs, the air locking ones, I really like them aswell.
I tend to go a bit overboard when I order it's usually well over £30, gadget addictso much 'handy' stuff in there. I might treat myself to the stack and store tubs and lids thing next time I get a catalogue, I hate rummaging for lids and tubs.
As for the kitchen gadgets, I got a can opener because I was sick of buying cheap ones and them breaking just to try it, works well and much stronger than any other I have used. Jar and bottle opener (green flexible thing) is useless however. One day I might be more organised...........
