Kids taste test
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20148538?GT1=10252Kids prefer the 'taste' of food wrapped in Maccy D wrappers. My first thought was 'wrap things for kids in maccy-d-alike wrappers..'My second thought was - 'nope, thats just encourages them. Teach them to appreciate real food instead'.I know someone that had a BBQ, and had…

How do I clean bloodstains? Not dodgy I promise!
I had a little (hem hem) accident witha lightbulb on monday night, and managed to get blood all over the wallpaper, carpet and wood panel on the stairs. Now I am well enough to tackle the mess properly. The carpet isn't too bad (not up to CSI std but looks ok, thankfully a dark carpent), the wood I have cleaned and that ok…

Repairing Shank on Heels
A Few Months ago the shank split on my most favourite pair of heels, and i was of course, rather gumbly about this, as the shank seems to be the most expensive bit of the shoe to fix! Timpsons told me it would take 3 weeks, and cost about £25.. and since the shoes were only £20 in the selfridges sale, i felt that paying…

Ma Made Tinned Seville Oranges
I was in the supermarket this morning and saw these tins of oranges which you use to make marmalade - they were called Ma Made and were £1.14 each. You just add water and sugar and it makes 6lb of marmalade. It is made by Hartleys. I was really tempted to buy some as I love making jams and stuff and worked out that this…

Other uses for fabric conditioner?
Hi I bought a big bottle of Tesco non-bio fabric softener, but it seems to aggravate OH's skin, so I have a huge bottle that I can't use now and was wondering if there is any other good uses for it. I would imagine it'd leave a residue and wouldn't really clean things, but was wondering if anyone had any ideas? i don't…
