washing powder?Respond to every call that excites your spirit.0 -
Have used stardrops in the past which worked well
Alternatively maybe a small amount of washing powder, logic being that it gets food marks and dirt out of clothes so it should work on plates or small amount of soda crystals?
Or maybe if you're not washing anything too greasy/dirty just some really hot water and good old fashioned elbow grease0 -
If you have the empty bottle try putting hot water in it to see if there are any dregs left that you can use."This site is addictive!"

Do you have any cheap bubble bath you could use? Its just another form of detergent.0

I wouldn't recommend any sort of body wash/shampoo/ soap as they leave trace oils which will leave a tainted flavour on your dishes. THey're all detergents, but washing liquid is designed to break down fats and grease and that's it, whilst body washes and soaps have added emollients to protect the skin from the detergents that they contain.
Very hot water and a little biological washing powder, and then rinse very very thoroughly. It's a top Kim and Aggie tip for manky roasting pans.0 -
what about a scouring pad with a bit of salt on it ? as that will break down/through grease etc.... also if you have a spare lemon... cit it in half and rub on the dishes etc... qworth ago... but i dont think i would panic if my dishes had to wait a few hours to be washed.....Work to live= not live to work0

I think you can get Value w-u-l at Tesco and Asda for less than 20p a bottle. I apologise for this suggestion if you really don't even have 20p lying around the place somewhere.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
