In the 'really' old days people used washing soda and hot water.

Just run out of washing up liquid and not going to the shop till tomorrow. What can I use instead? Got some anti bacterial hand wash but can I use it to wash pots?

    Hi pinkpig,

I use stardrops too if I run out of washing up liquid and it does just as good a job.

There's an earlier thread that may help so I'll add your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.

  • I've run out of washing up liquid, and don't really want to make a trip for just that today. Anything I could use instead for the short term?

  • am sorry if this has already been covered somewhere, tried to do a search but nothing came up.

I have ran out of washing up liquid and not doing a shop till tomorrow and have heaps of washing up to do (the joy of kids!!) and wondered if there was anything i can use to stop me nipping to the shop where my wandering eye will find lots of other nice things i suddenly "need"

    Thanks in advance,
    love rags
