NTL change of name.Still same old rubbish
I am sure Richard Branson will live to regret the day he allowed Virgins fairly trusted name be associated with those bunch of idiots that are NTL. Every month my bill is incorrect.I ring them and am put on hold for anything up to 20 minutes.I finally get through and someone promises to correct the problem and re-issue a…

I supposedly joined Sky 23/2/07, they were quick enough to get the sky dish installed i.e. 26/2/07, but they can't connect my broadband and apparently cancelled my talk plan? Have given my MAC code and havebeen through to at least a dozen different depts and today they…

Whinge your way to wifi!!!
I hate BT broadband. It's official. Ever since the b*ggering thing was installed, it's been cutting put ever few minutes, that is if Ealing sodding council aren't digging up the road and wrecking the cables. We've had engineers out, we've had about nineteen thousand new microfilters, but alas to no avail. This morning I…

Engineer charges on non-BT packages
I was seriuosly thinking of having a Talk-Talk phone/broadband package untill I saw the price of the engineers call out. With the above, as with several others, your line rental switches to the new provider. This means that BT no longer look after your line, which I believe they do for free. The price of engineering work…

My broadband is still working...for now! BISCIT are giving out no information at all. Their status page is blank, emails are not replied and…

BT Broadband Option 3
Ok, Please don't tell me i'm not mad signing up for this. After being with Orange who are utterly cr*p i figured that everyone must be better. But it is more expensive at £26.99 per month. You get the home hub and Phone plus free weekend/evening calls so i reckon it'll work out roughly the same as Orange in the long run.…

Anyone recommend good free virus protection.
After paying in PC world for Norton Utilities protection last year I resent their smug little email telling that I wouldn't be protected against viruses unless i paid up again. It smacked to me of the Sopranos and protection rackets. I know these people are in business but do they have to charge so much for it?

New sign-up - best current deals please
Sorry to be lazy but it seems very difficult to wade through these threads and identify the best deals around. All I'm looking for is simple broadband, not interested in 8mb etc - just after a bog-standard 1mb connection for my mother-in-law. Having been on a £14.99 deal myself for about 18 months and not paying much…

BT Broadband - Do they do 'retentions'?
Hi all I have been with BT Broadband for 2 and a half yeras now and have had a trouble free experience. However , for the last year or so have been meaning to investigate other cheaper suppliers as the £26 BT charge me is, I feel, too much. However, I would rather not go through the hassle if at all possible and wondered…
