I've been asked by a creditor to provide a certificate of discharge before they'll update my credit files. Is there any way round this as I'm keen to avoid the £60 I understand it costs? Many thanks

hi all, i am due for discharge on 25 march but have a 3 year BRU, i have just received a letter from the OR saying "bankruptcy file will shortly be transferred to the regional trustee and liquidator unit (RTLU) for this office." Ok, just filling in the BR form for DH to send back to the British Legion whom are helping DH with the BR, so may need help with bits a little later on, :) Have just been onto the company we have been paying a DMP to since Jan 2009 to cancel it, they have told me DH must go to his local town hall, as his BR may be declined…
