Please help me with my car dilema

To cut a long story short my car has died and it is not something I can do with out as I live rural , I have no money to buy another but a family member has offered to help me out and buy a car , do i need to inform the or? the car would be registered in my name obviously but technically would not be mine really unless I found the money at some point for it, which is not likely for a while! I need to act quick too! the other thing is I had a letter sent to my creditors end of Jan to see if they objected to my early discharge, the deadline was end of feb so I guess it is a possibility that I could be discharged or soon.
Any ideas !
