Switching suppliers but currently in debit
Hi My mum is looking into switching providers for her electricity. She's currently with e-on (who have announced an 11% rise in September according to USwitch) and pays a monthly direct debit of £53.00 and is £66 in debit. Having gone on USwitch, I've found that NPower can supposedly save her £165 a year by switching…

Will I get penalised for cancelling EDF Direct Debit?
I've tried calling - no answer, email has not yet been answered but they have put our DD up to £200 a month. We will not use that amount - certainly not at the moment - so we want to switch to quarterly and pay when the bill comes in. How can we do this? Do we have to tell them or can we cancel the DD and wait for them to…

DD vs quarterly
We are told DD is cheaper because the tariffs are cheaper..but with DD I'm always in credit with EDF, sometimes upto as much as £300, which of course they make a huge amount of interest off (collectively). Arent we all better off going back to quarterly billing? I want to pay for what I owe and not a penny more!
