Switched from OVO to NPower *Now Regretting it*

Morning all,

Recently switched my gas and electric from OVO to nPower and tbh I wish I didn't bother.

OVO was charging me roughly £50 a month gas and electric which was fine for my 2 bed house, I started looking elsewhere after my year contract with OVO had ended and decided on nPower, after confirming how much gas and Elect I had used in the past year they said my monthly bill would be £38, FANTASTIC so I went ahead.

Few weeks later during the transition period I received a letter saying my bills were going to be £55.00, little miffed I wasn't too bothered, 2 weeks after my first letter I received another letter confirming my bills were going to be £115.00

I got straight on the phone to nPower who confirmed there had been a mistake and put the bills back down to £55.00 a month, this was 2 weeks ago, this morning I checked my bank and £115.00 has been direct debited from my account.

NOT PLEASE AT ALL!!!

28minutes left before I can call customer services.:mad::mad:

  • Hi Harding1985,

I would phone them, but before that I'd call the bank and file an indemnity claim (direct debit guarantee covers incorrect payments), as that's the quickest way to get the money back. Then make some noise!

I hope they sort it for you,

    Regards.

    Hi harding1985

Did you manage to talk to customer services? If not, can I look into this for you as it does seem odd that you have been given conflicting info? Just pop your account details to forumresponse@npower.com and I'll take a look for you if you like?
