Paying a deposit for bathroom materials pre-installation
Hello! I'm having 2 x bathrooms done by a bona fide LTD company. Within the terms is a request for deposit - several thousand pounds - via a BACS payment. How safe is this if, for example, the company went bust before the installation date in 8 weeks time? Many thanks in advance for any input / guidance.

First Direct Closing First Directory, who offer similar?
Received a letter today from First direct about them closing the First directory that we pay for. We are going to loose holiday insurance, phone insurance, break down car cover etc. No reason to stay with them now as their interest rates are not that competitive. Anyone managed to use PayPal debit card as contactless payment???
Update for anyone else with same problem. I decided to order a physical card, arrived today, Paypal then gave me the options to activate it online using the 3 numbers on the back of the card. Ultimately you still need a 'physical' Debit card to use it! Customer Services doesn't seem to understand this process…
