Santander free forever bank account changes
Just got a letter in the post that Santander are changing my business account to £9.99 a month. I've had it a very long time and remember Santander trying this move before only to be told they can't because the original sign up material pushed it as being free forever. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Son given large cash present for birthday - concern there may be issues paying into the bank
My son is a very lucky boy who has just been given £1000 in cash for this birthday from his grandparents - he’s at university and money is very tight for him, hence their generous present - they are also strong advocates of using cash rather than doing everything electronically. He obviously wants to pay the money into his…

More PayPal issues?
I see I cannot transfer a payment I had from PayPal to my linked bank account. And received an email from PayPal saying my bank account has been disabled for use from PayPal for security reasons! A similar glitch occurred last week but without the email. I was able to transfer the money a day or so later. Is there…

Request for personal budgeting
I’ve recently started to make a good bit of money in my current job. I come from a very working class background, and my parents struggled when I was younger, and aren’t very financially educated which I’m sure they wouldn’t mind me saying - so I’m not either. I’ve done some work to learn the basics, read some books etc,…

NatWest + RBS £175 switching offers June 2025
New switching offers from NatWest and RBS, see below. Terms seem to be more or less identical between the two banks, so I've listed the T&Cs for the NatWest offer for reference. Biggest difference between past offers is that it seems to apply only to "new and existing customers who don’t hold a NatWest/RBS current account…

Me & my partner are trying to find a bank account for our 15 year old Nephew. His dad passed away 2 years ago at work & his employer had Death in Service policy so the first deposit is roughly £45000.00. The only thing is that they live 200 miles away.

A question about Open Banking
I have a Starling Business account and use Quickbooks for my accounting. There is a connection between the two using Open Banking. What puzzles me is the delay between a transaction becoming visible in my online banking and it making its way into Quickbooks via the Open Banking connection. Even if I go into Quickbooks and…

Stop using Edge Current Account but keep Edge Saver Account?
I have been cutting back on what I spend on direct debits from my Santander Edge Current Account and because they no longer give cashback from shopping I now have less than £3.00 cashback which no longer covers the £3.00 fee so I am thinking of closing my edge current account ( maybe switching to get a switching bonus)…
