Cashback missing at Virgin Money

Hi, has anyone had cause to complain about missing cashback for purchases made with their debit card on Virgin cashback retail deals?
I had a 10% back at Asda for £30+ purchases and it didn't track. Put the missing transaction form in on the app and got a very automated looking reply back saying my card wasn't registered. It is and has tracked both before and since the date of the missing one.
Long and short of it , been a very frustrating 2hr plus on various calls to various departments to no avail but eventually got my complaint registered and is now being looked into. I have stated that I require the cashback owed to me plus a reasonable amount to compensate my time and stress on the phone.
Lets see what happens. Anyone else had similar?

Visa run the cashback perk for Virgin, NatWest/RBS, Barclays and several other banks/BSs.
Not surprising then that I have the same 10% at Asda deal on my RBS Reward account - used it last Friday and the cashback was showing on my Reward tally the following Wednesday. Used it again today.0 -
Slight update. I have noticed I have got the missing cashback from my Asda purchase but whats that symbol next to it I thought? Turns out it means good will gesture. WHAT!! It ain't good will, it's what you owe me. Hopefully complaint is still ongoing and I get compensated for my time chasing something I shouldn't have had to.0

I can’t be bothered with these cashback perks. I’m not prepared to look through the cashback deals to find one to use. If they want me to jump through hoops my automatic reaction is a simple ‘no’. I have accounts with RBS and Virgin Money and never have I received cashback by virtue of just using my cards day to day. To me that suggests people must peruse the deals and deliberately purchase from one or more retailers on the list, maybe making purchases they wouldn’t otherwise make. The deals are there because retailers feel it would be advantageous to them, not advantageous to the customer. Just give us automatic cashback on spending.I used to use Quidco until the cookies stopped tracking because of my web security and even though I provided Quidco with screenshots to prove I had purchased an insurance policy through their own comparison site they refused to honour the deal simply because the cookie hadn’t tracked. Since then I have stopped using such sites. Most deals can be replicated fairly easily on a case by case basis.2

The Virgin and Natwest (and I assume the RBS) ones are automatic. You register for the programme, not the individual deals. Once your card is registered you benefit from all current offers. I used the ASDA one through Natwest last week, and it tracked. £7 for a £70 spend I would have done anyway. I bought the Christmas booze*. The good thing with these offers is they work with any spend - Alcohol, Tobacco, Gift Cards, as long as it goes through a normal checkout. They don't tend to work in the petrol station though, unfortunatly. Morrisons used to pop up quite regularly, and I've seen Waitrose before too.
*I think it's actually £7.70 as it seems to have tracked twice, one for the 10% ASDA cashback, and again for the generic Natwest Reward Credit Card 1% in Supermarkets cashback.1 -

These on card cashback schemes did not motivate us to sign up to that ISP, nor did they prevent us from moving away, but they did in fact mean that we spent somewhere around zero on our broadband for the duration of our contract.Similarly with supermarket offers - you're unlikely to be offered anything if you loyally shop at the same place and use the same card each time, but if you ignore the offers then you're passing up easy money - even if you just nip in and grab a gift card (possibly even for the place you usually shop, if that happens to be M&S or Waitrose)!You do you but you're making a choice to not engage with something which could prove quite lucrative; it doesn't strike me as wonderful guidance on a forum for Money Saving advice.0 -

I normally drive straight past Asda to get to Waitrose/Tesco for the weekly shop. That deal persuaded me to divert and to buy stuff at Asda that wouldn't have happened without that cashback, and for 2 weeks running.Ergates said:
