Coventry BS monthly interest paid but not received

Hi.

February monthly interest from Coventry building society paid out on the 31st and was received into my bank the same day

March interest was paid out on 30th but not landed in my bank account yet

I have only been with Coventry a couple of months so I have no idea whats normal

Can someone enlighten me please

Thanks

Faster payments aren't guaranteed to be same day so you'll probably see it on Monday or Tuesday depending on when it was actually sent. You just need to be patient with these things.

Mine hasn't appeared yet either. I suspect it's because it's a weekend, it may appear later today or not till Monday. (The payment for 31.12.22 didn't appear till 3.1.23 due to bank holidays).

Old thread but it looks like it is still the same in Nov 2025. One would think with all the technological advancements and AI now, it would be easy to update accounts when they should be updated i.e. last day of the month (even if it does fall on a weekend).  ;)

No, many now are. Today (Sunday, 07.20) my Market Harborough BS regular saver has matured and its online banking states that interest has been credited today and the account closed. It hasn't appeared in my current account yet but we'll see, if not today then tomorrow or Tuesday I'd guess. Not even many years ago anything happening at a weekend with a small building society was rare.
