Need a little advice, my take home pay is different to whats calculated...
I earn 38K a year. According to the calculator my PAYE should be £423.83 and NI £169.53
But the actual deductions were £441.20 and £176.49
Not wildly different but nearly a weeks shopping.
But I also have a NEST payment of 109.37 and my total income this month came to £2527.11, but the calculator brings it to £ 2,573.31.... Tbh Im finding this odd discrepancies more confusing than troubling. I dont think the work place is doing anything dodgy, just things are being calculated differently...
Whats your thoughts? Should I be worried?

You shouldn't be worried but unless you know how the calculator is built it's difficult to get the correct answer.MangyDog said:So I've been using this https://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/salary.php to calculate my take home pay estimates...

Not wasting time, well worth it given you have had a £1,000 pay rise this afternoon 😉MangyDog said:2 -
The thread was started last year and swiftly resolved the same day, with an entirely different root cause from the one you're belatedly suggesting!

I'm 50/50 on helpful but misguided or an AI repeating bot, their only other post also reads the an AI answer
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
