LLoyds and Halifax 'co servicing'

Had a message from Llyds saying theyll be soon be introducing a service where if you have a Loyds and a halifax account, you will be able to view both accounts on the app/online account of one of them. I wonder if this applies to joint accounts and does it require new sign in details?
For instance, myself and partner have had a joint Lloyds account for years. Nowadays I use it as my primary account...my salary is paid into it, my personal bills such as my phone , car insurance etc from it.
Partner has a personal sole account with halifax.
Will the joint lloyds account automatically come up on the halifax account app. And vice versa will his sole halifax account be visible on the joint account app ?

Your partner's apps will show both accounts (the Halifax sole and the Lloyd's joint).
This functionality has been live for years for people who hold accounts with BoS and Halifax, either app show all accounts across both, this change adds the third (major) bit of the Lloyds Banking Group to the functionality.
Should caveat this, the personal details across the accounts would have to match - if there's use of different names etc on the accounts then it might not work.4 -
Maybe they will combine all 3 brands into one at some point. Is this a forerunner of that? Would not be good for those of us who like to max the number of RS accounts which we have,3

Just a caveat before anyone starts deleting apps.

You'll need to keep all your apps so you can approve purchases made online, receive notifications and open new products.

So any sole account will only appear in your app2 -
It makes you wonder they don't just merge all the brands into one.1

Yes. Do away with the Halifax brand and keep BOS for Scotland and Lloyds for England and Wales. It is pragmatic to keep a separate Scottish identity, like the Royal Bank of Scotland. Makes sense.jackjones01 said:It makes you wonder they don't just merge all the brands into one.1 -
For example if you are in the Halifax app you can't open a new BOS savings accountHattie627 said:Just a caveat before anyone starts deleting apps.

Or presumably you can't authorise an online payment from your Halifax account using the Lloyds app, even though you can see your Halifax account on the Lloyds app. And vice versa1

I guess that applies fo any BOS product35har1old said:

Keep the heritage of all of them fused together into a funky new name for the finance world - La BOSH.9
