Wealthify refusing cashback
Hello all, I signed up specifically query this. I learned of Wealthify from a weekly MSE email in January 2023 which set out the £50 cash back offer. I signed up to take advantage of this. I had never heard of Wealthify and would not have signed up were it not for this offer, so am sure I followed the relevant MSE link. My…

Cynergy Bank - bad login procedures
What a really rubbish bank, I've had over 25 savings accounts over the years and this bank has the worst procedures I've ever dealt with. To start with their app is beyond awful due to the bank's infuriatingly difficult and fiddly to use login procedures. I work in tech, so have a good understanding of how things should…

VOTE now! Proposed take over of Virgin Money - Nationwide members should be given a vote
I'm really unhappy about Nationwide management running roughshod over their members (we the customers own the building society as it's a mutual), trying to push through a deal to buy Virgin Money. My quick take: * Nationwide management have proposed a takeover of Virgin Money * Terms of the deal have been agreed, but it is…

Loanpad P2P - Reviews, experiences, info or updates, post them here. I'm having a dabble.
Morning all I've seen this name pop up a couple of times in various threads, but can't see that there is a dedicated thread for them. I've had a quick look at their website, and on the face of it, it seems like a pretty good deal, somewhere between cash and a S&S ISA. I realise that capital is at risk, and the interest…

What Should I Be Careful Of? - 12 Month Savings Account for Income Tax Money
Hi, I'm self employed and I want to store my income tax money somewhere until the end of the year when I need to pay it so I'm looking at various savings accounts etc. Is there anything I need to watch out for? Any red flags, things to avoid etc? Obviously I need 100% of the money back at the end of the year, so I don't…

Im curious to hear if others have done this. If there are any gotchas I need to…

Kids lump sum - best place for it?
A friend has 2 children aged 12 and 16 who have been left £20k each in a will. I've been asked where the best long term risk free place is to put them. For the 16yo the Ulster Bank loyalty saver looks good at 5.25%, I'm not sure for the 12yo. Any on either thoughts appreciated!
