It then even encourages you to visit their website to see "proof" of successfully obtained CCJ's. Most are for less than my "outstanding" amount which has now risen to £149.99.
If it was a legitimate ticket why would they even need to show you this, and even have it on a website. Could you see a bank doing that for example? I mean they must have thousands of ccjs against people, would they say visit our website to see scans of ccjs of people defaulting on loans ? The difference is the bank would not do that if allowed as there is no need, this company is trying its best to scam you .Skagbagger wrote: »I get that if this is one big scam to scare you into paying but I have to confess to be getting increasingly worried. It even claims on their site that people should not be mislead by advice to ignore them on forums such as these!!!
We issue advice on not being mislead by companies trying to get your money, why would you even listen to a company that advises you not to get impartial independent advice ? And if you watch the bbc watchdog videos it's not just forums advising to ignore but legal experts in the sector. The fact is that 1.8m invoices were issued in 2011 by all these companies combined, and 49 (forty nine) landed up before a small claims judge, with 25 dismissed out of hand.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0

 Just a few people!!!!
This is the first page only (of dozens) of the thread results you get if you search this parking forum only, for the keywords 'debt plus litigation':

 And here's your letter:

I found it on the letter chains thread which has been there for over 2 years. Third thread from the top of this board, tells you all you need to know.
Here's a version of the next letter you will get - a 'reduced payment offer!' but it gets better because if you just carry on ignoring the whole scam it reduces to zero payment of course...!
Oh, and near the end of the scam you will get a letter or two from Zenith (the very height of their efforts to scare you, not!). There's an amusing thread about them here:
 https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3829727
They cannot just apply for a CCJ, nor can they send Bailiffs round (without first of all going to the County Court and winning and then you still not paying). But they won't go to the County Court. You only need to post back on here if you actually get REAL Court Documents. You won't.
You should just be playing snap with these letters by now! Please bookmark the third from top thread and refer to it each time you get a nice new letter. If not shown under UKPPO on the letter chains thread then just look at another PPC listed there who use a DRP letter chain.
ALL LETTERS ARE THERE TO LAUGH AT!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I drive a company car and have received a PCN back in February 2012. When I received this notice I was parked in my own car parking space outside my flat. I have a permit but it had fallen off the windscreen on to the passenger seat. The car park is patrolled by UK Parking Patrol (Manchester). I sent them a copy of my parking permit (without my name) which they ignored. They have sent several letters to my company and have now passed the debt on to Debt Recovery Plus Ltd. They have just sent a "Notice of Intended Litigation" to my company, who are getting shaky about it. This has meant I have had to ring up Debt Recovery Plus Ltd and give them my name and address. The lady on the phone said I had no grounds to appeal at this stage and that I had to pay. I said I would have to go to court and she said "fine, i'll prepare the paperwork" and hung up the phone.
Is it likely I'll have to go to court? Where do I stand in terms of it being a company car? I don't want to get in to trouble at work. What do I do next? I'm getting a bit worried...0

No, it won't go to court. They'd lose, and they know it.Je Suis Cecil.0

Oh, sorry, I missed the company car bit.
You need to get them to write to you and not the company. You've given DR+ your name and address, and hopefully that will be OK, but I would also look to contact your Fleet Manager and try to educate him/her about these tickets.
There is a Fleet News article somewhere (can someone post a link please??) and BVRLA (Lease Car Trade Body) guidance on not paying these tickets. Also, someone with a bit of nouse about law at your company ought to be able to confirm that the action by the parking company in respect of trespass by the driver, cannot possibly include the driver's company as a party.Je Suis Cecil.0

I spoke to my company this morning and they're ok so long as none of their assets are at risk. obviously they don't want to be liable for the fine either. I've told them that I've given over my details as the driver and said I'm happy for them to confirm the details with the debt recovery people. I just want to know it's me that's potentially liable really....0
