UK Parking Patrol Office

I received a ticket from the above people for parking in a reserved bay. There are no signs whatsoever in the car park to explain what the reserved bays are for. There are signs above the reserved bays to say how long you can stay for and how much it costs but nothing about the reserved bays. Should I ignore, appeal or pay??

Ignore....I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Ignore it of course. Ignore ANY private parking ticket.
Read the sticky threads by Crabman, at the top of the forum and watch the Watchdog clip linked to one.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Don't be mislead by that grand sounding title "UK Parking Patrol Office". Cynics would say they are pretending to be some sort of official body, when in fact they are just another tin-pot private parking company. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

A complicated Scam of impersonation of Authority.

Just IGNORE everything you will get from them, there junk mail may come in handy if you have a wobbly table or chair if its thick enough like them just stick it under the leg then it may be usefull.:pPPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:0

Thanks so much for your replies, I have today received the letter to tell me that the fine is now increased and that it will be passed to debt recovery agents and possibly start court action. I presume you will tell me to continue to ignore this? I was thinking of writing to explain that I disagree with the fine but will happily ignore if that's thought the best course of action???0

Yes, keep ignoring0

Madbop, It's not a fine, it's an unsolicited invoice that you can ignore with the blessing of the law.0

It's best to ignore , because if you write to them they will think they are getting to you and will write more junk mail to you, think of the environment and how many trees you will save by ignoring, nothing will come of it trust us.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
In July I received another letter from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd acting on behalf of UK Parking patrol stating Intended Litigation and threatening County Court Proceedings if not paid within 7 days. I ignored. I have today received another letter stating they have 'referred your case to our client and have proposed issuing County Court proceedings against you'. However in this letter they are offering to accept a reduced payment of £119.99 (rather than £149.99) to prevent the action.
Have to say this is starting to bother me a little now, do I hold firm and continue to ignore? I'm about to be made redundant
