Debt recovery plus - 'CCJs'

On letters they send out, they have a link to their website which shows CCJ's they've applied for and successfully had issued. They got a load of scrolling names that show the name of the person and the amount they had applied....
Questions:
1. If the CCJ's are real (Which I doubt) is it against the DPA to post these names and amounts on?
2. If the CCJ's haven't been applied for (Which is more likely just a tactic to scare people) is it an offence to claim that so and so has had a CCJ applied by this so called debt recovery agency?

It's 99% certain that those CCJs refer to "proper" debts to do with unpaid utility bills and council tax, and nothing to do with private parking tickets. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
-
But are they allowed to put names and amounts on their website ?0
-
They don't mention the fact that some of the CCJs are probably against people unconnected to parking, also the more likely thing is that they are just fake, or premier league football players is another favourite!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
What I found funny is the part on their website which cites 'CPS versus Stephen Thomas' and tells people that PPC tickets 'are' enforceable etc etc... and that internet forums are a no no...Just made me LOL0

Creditors don't "apply" for a CCJ, they issue a County Court claim, which the alleged debtor has an opportunity to deny and defend, and the Court will issue a CCJ if the claim is successful. The CCJ is only recorded on the debtor's credit file if it remains unpaid after 21 days, and after that the debtor can apply to have it marked as satisfied. In any case, it disappears off the file after 6 years.... If the CCJ's haven't been applied for (Which is more likely just a tactic to scare people) is it an offence to claim that so and so has had a CCJ applied by this so called debt recovery agency? ..
If these examples are real, it is most likely that they are default judgements obtained when the defendant failed to enter a defence or to show up in Court. (The only time when you should NOT ignore correspondence relating to PPC tickets).
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
I emailed self same cowboys and asked for the name of just one ccj that they had won that related to parking....and answer came there none.
We are not allowed to call these people scum...so I won't.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I've had one of their letters re notice of intended litigation, and have now had another one "reduced payment offer" whereby they say their client, Premier Park, will accept a reduced payment if paid within 7 days!!!
I will ignore that like the previous letter.
I too wondered about the legalities of being able to put names of CCJ's obtained on a website due to DPA, so I concluded they had to be fake.
so I'll carry on ignoring and see what they come up with next!!!0 -

One last throw of the dice before giving up (hopefully).
Carry on ignoring unless in the very unlikely event you getting proper court-papers0 -
I'm hoping it is a last throw of the dice tactic - but with all the best will in the world in the back of your mind you can't help wondering if you will get served with court papers!! I will stick to my guns and ignore, I can't afford to pay it anyway, but you can understand how they scare people out of their money
