CPS Midlands

Hi all,

I won't go into too much detail because I know a certain person lurks on these boards :rotfl:

My car had a ticket from CPS Mids on it, received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus demanding payment. I've been ignoring it, haven't got in contact with either of these companies.

I've had a "Notice Of Intended Litigation" letter from Debt Recovery Plus, threatening court if it's not paid in 7 days. What are the chances they will take it to court?

The letter chains sticky doesn't show the letters for CPS so I'm not really sure what to expect.

The first thing they have to prove to take it to Court is who was driving. If they cannot do that they are stuffed from the word go.

Your car may have had a ticket, but that doesn't make you, as owner, liable for it.

You are under no obligation to respond at all, much less to divulge the name of the driver.

They know that, now you do too.

So just treat the chancers with the contempt they deserve and ignore them.

And if I had a quid for every "Notice of Intended Litigation" I have had... I would be in a sunnier place right now. Still waiting for a claim to arrive, been disappointed so far. They never keep their promises.

That's brilliant, thanks for your response.

Once they've given up I will scan the letters for crabman to use on the sticky.

As an aside, I've cross referenced my letters with the Debt Recovery Plus letters on the Parkforce sticky and although the names of the employees are the same, the signatures are totally different, nil points for consistancy :rotfl:

Do you mean CPS 'Perky's lot,' or CPS = Car Park Services or whatever they call themselves?

    Ignore them either way. :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The OP means Car Park Solutions (Midlands) limited. They are based in Nottingham and are a breakaway company from Car Park Solutions limited of the same geographic location.

Do I detect a bit of internecine strife here?

    Hi everyone,

Today I received a £75 parking fine from CPS (Midlands) Ltd, I have done a lot of reading around on other peoples experience of this company and the general consensus is to ignore the fine and wait for the following threats from the company about court proceedings.

Can anybody offer me any advice for exactly what proceedings I should follow.

Just ignore them. There will be no Court, only letters pretending.
