Hi all, first time on a meter and online it states we are using 0.5 m3 per day, is this normal for a 2 person household? We are in most days as well so it probably gets used quite a lot.

Sewage backflowing into my house through drain when it rains.
Hi all Hope this is in the correct place. I've lived in an old 2 storey house near the bottom of a hill down which runs a road for 10 years. Downstairs there is a shower room / toilet & the house borders directly onto the pavement. (The house was built in 1895). Its a small rural village (population 400ish) and there has…

Shared drain - who pays?
Hi On my patio we have a drain cover which (roughly every 2 years) blocks up and leaves lots of ummn, "toilet waste" all over the patio. I currently cover external drains by paying extra on my boiler cover, but someone has told me that since it's a *shared* external drain between us and the neighbours (the other side of…

Simple one someone might be able to answer..... if you get county court papers come through claiming you owe Anglian Water £300 + £65 in court fees, and you accept the owed amount and pay off the £300 outstanding the same day you get the papers through the post...... are you still liable to pay the £65 even though you have…

Hi, just wonder if anyone is having similar issue. Basically, we have a two bed room flat and the water bill this year has gone up from over £20/month to £30/month. That’s why we asked to have the meter installed earlier this month because we’re sure that we don’t use much water. However, we just received a new bill saying…

How do I know if I have to pay surface water drainage costs?
As the title suggests, I'm confused over whether we should be paying for surface water drainage. I've seen various threads but to be honest, they have confused me even more! We live in a mid terraced property, built in 2005. The confusion started when a work colleague said that as we don't have a drainpipe (it goes into…

Hi all, I've been looking at water saving showerheads, and some of them say they are not suitable for certain types of showers. Summer hot water supply
Hi all My grandmother lives in her own apartment but pays an annual service charge which covers, amongst other things, the heating and water supply. In summer, understandably, they reduce the number of hours of the day that the heating is on. Whether this is linked or not I don't know but the amount of hot water available…
