Strange Twitter password business
Hey everyone, Not sure if this has happened to anyone else, however, Twitter emailed me to say there was suspicious activity on my account, and that access was attempted. Then a further email came through saying a password had been changed. I did forgot password on Twitter and reset my password, and enabled 2fa (I didn't…

MS Office 2010 will no longer activate
I have two licences for MS Office 2010 and it's only being used on one laptop. I'm perfectly happy with this version of office and don't feel the need to upgrade. But it won't install on a new desktop pc on the basis that it has been used the maximum number of times under the licence - this is untrue. I thought I could use…

Passport photo at home
Hi. Wasn't sure whether to post this in travel or tech, but I guess it may be more of a tech issue. I need to take a passport photo (for an actual passport) digitally at home but I do not have a suitable plain background. I did buy a white sheet for this very purpose, but disappointingly it came really creased up so the…

Google storage limits
Hello Forum peeps. First time posting - long term saving. Over the past few weeks/months I've received warnings from google that I had exceeded my free storage limit of 15gb. I removed a few photos and deleted some emails and that seemed to do the trick. However, over the weekend Google stopped me from receiving and…

Locate and wipe Android. Family link?
Guys, I've had a couple of incidents recently where I have lost my phone. Fortunately on both occasions it was either handed in or found. Both have taught me that I need a plan in place should I lose it again and am unable to find it. (Fingers crossed it'll never be needed!). I can see from my laptop I can be logged into…

Can you WhatsApp me on the new number? If you press the link you will get me on WhatsApp” Obviously it’s a scam as why would our dad call his son dad. My…

iPad and what to do with it now
I purchased a brand new iPad on eBay and it arrived even with the cellophane still intact over the box. After I turned it on to set it up, I discovered it has remote management control on it by some school. I contacted the seller and they refunded me, but did not want the item returned or send me a return address, they…

Using Pallet's to Deliver PC's
I was wondering about customers experiences in this area. To my knowledge they are still only used for water cooled PC's and are an effective way of getting the PC to the customer. But there are issues. When delivered have you had it delivered to your Flat door or just the foyer? Water-cooled PC's are heavy yet they are…

Might not be the right board but I thought I'd try here first.... I need an email address for O2 to send them information regarding billing issues. Any ideas where I might find this? fyi - I'm not a customer (so can't login) but am helping someone who apparently has several contracts with them without knowing why. TIA

Thoughts on suitable laptop
Hi. I have an Asus ZenBook at the moment, purchased probably about 4 years ago. Lovely touchscreen, fairly decent / good visual quality, great to use most of the time. However, it tends to run its fan(s) to such an extent that (when it does this) I get lag with the movement of my mouse, the noise absolutely drives me nuts…

Optiplex GX620
I am wondering what to do with a very old GX620 desktop PC? It has 1gb of Ram and a Pentium processor running at 3.2ghz. It currently runs XP pro, but I don’t want to connect it to the Internet unless I can put a modern, properly supported, OS on it. Any suggestions for an OS that will run in 1gb of ram, please?
