Morning,
Probably know the answer already, but thought i'd check!
Other half dropped her phone yesterday. No damage, however the screen went black. Phone was still working as she was hearing notifications etc. Found a few guides on line that showed carassing the screen might help, which it did! The screen came back to life and everything was working as it should.
However, plugging the phone into charge doesn't work. Tried a variety of chargers and cables with no joy. Also tried wireless charging using my phone but no joy there either. Presuming something inside becamse dislodged after the drop.
We've booked to have it sent off and repaired, but would love to see if there is any way we might be able to get it to boot up beforehand.
Any ideas/suggestions welcome!

Try using a USB-A to USB-C cable and charging from a USB-A port.Long shot but it may just be the PD "I want power at such a rate" handshaking that has broken. In which case a newer USB-C charger will not supply anything from the USB-C port, (some older ones will still put out a low wattage charge) but a USB-A port will still put a low watt charge out without any "handshake".1

Thanks for the suggestion. Gave it a try but sadly no joy. Was worth a go though!

Have you tried a forced restart, holding the power key and volume key together until the logo appears, usually about 15 seconds?Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
