More than one withdrawal daily from Chase Saver?
Hi, I've got a Chase Saver currently paying a boosted 4.55%. I thought I read somewhere that if you make more than one withdrawal per day you're penalised in some way but I'm not sure if I've made that up. Does anyone know if that's right? Thanks

Birmingham Bank?
Hi, does anyone have any experience of Birmingham Bank? I am looking to lock away some savings in a fixed rate 3-5 year account and these guys seem to be offering the highest rate at the moment. I'd never heard of them before they were recommended here.

Saving stategy/psychology
I was wondering whether people have specific savings pots for a new car, holiday etc ? I've never done that personally - i've always just saved money in one savings account and then drawn money out when I've needed it for things like that. But I was wondering if it would be a good idea to have different pots. For example,…

Savings advice required
Hi Posting on behalf of a friend. My friend has circa £600K to invest. At this stage they want to invest it into a savings account / platform. Appreciate this may not be the most lucrative, however, for various reasons, that is what they want right now. If beneficial, they can lock the funds away for a higher rate. From…

What saving account is ideal for my savings? (£7,968)
Hi, I posted this elsewhere but its worth posting here. I've only just explored savings accounts, regrettably I wish I did this much sooner but was so confused by all the jargon. I now have more of an understanding to maximise interest rates but I'm still confused what to do exactly. Apparently Plum has the best interest…

Fixed Rate Offers Declining
With a high probability of a further rate cut next week many of the best offers are quickly disappearing. It seems possible to delay funding some by up to 30 days at the moment, giving a chance to buy now with no downstream commitment But I remember shortly after the last rate cut there was a rate rebound so you would have…

Problem with transfer to Skipton
I transferred money from my Nationwide current account to my Skipton regular saver at 10 minutes past midnight on Friday morning (1st August). More than £10k in interest - self assessment form
Hi All - apologies if this has been asked before. I'm likely to hit £10k in savings interest this financial year. It will be a one off - we sold our house in March, and won't be buying for a few months - and are hence sitting on quite a lot of cash. Have already maxed out Cash ISA and PBs -so can't really move money around…

Hodge Bank and/or Modulr Finance Ltd 04-29-05
MSE currently mentions Hodge Bank as a good home for Easy Access savings. But when opening an account the sort code specified is 04-29-05 Modulr Fs Ltd, which seems to be some e-Money outfit I've never heard of. Furthermore Modulr is NOT covered by the FS compensation scheme. Hodge is covered by FSCS, but exactly with whom…
