My Community Bank savings question
My Community Bank savings account has recently matured and its automatically transferred to a Castle Community Bank account. I am trying to withdraw the money from this new account as the interest rate is much lower, but for the life of me I can’t find a way to withdraw my money! There are no options. I’m being thick but…

Checking savings interest reported to HMRC
Is there a way of viewing the savings interest reported to HMRC. I logged into my tax account but can't find this information. I have received a letter quoting a total amount but no breakdown on how they arrived at this amount. Any suggestions how to view this information would be appreciated please.

Savings account and tax
I have sold my property subject to contract. I am going into temporary accommodation when I complete. I have not yet put an offer on the table for a new property as nothing suitable has emerged. I am likely to have to save between £400-£425,000. Where is the best instant access account to hold these funds in, in between…

OH and I have a joint savings account which used to be with the Britannia and is now a Co-op product (with whom we have a joint current a/c). We would now like to move our funds to a Coventry BS product. Following the recent takeover announcement, do we simply go ahead with this move or are we wasting our time and effort,…

CSH2 ETF Alternative ETF?
Hi I have searched for an alternative to CSH2, but haven't been able to find one, specifically non-distributing ETF. I am looking at moving one of our SIPPS to Fidelity (just for IT / Admin resilience), but they still will not onboard CSH2 (for my cash/cash like holdings). I've looked at ERNS and it would suffice as an…

Trading 212 interest rate issue
Hello, I switched my ISA to trading 212 when it was offering like 5.17%. A month after mine dropped to 4.9%. it is now offering similar 5%ish but appears to be for new customers, i assume i cannot get onto the higher rate now? Strategy for an amateur, other than sticking everything in a diverse index fund?
I don't really have the knowledge to actively manage my investments so a few years ago I decided to stick everything in Vanguard's LifeStrategy 80% index fund. It's doing okay, and I've gained 30% since I started, so there may not be any reason to change this approach. I assume there are other options though, there must be…

Are we all braced to be working through our spreadsheets for the, probable, base rate change?
Sounds as though it's likely. I bet am not alone in then waiting for the institutions then reacting to this and them adjusting their variable products. Then to plough through my Savings spreadsheet colour coding the rows / products that have and might change. Keeps me out of mischief!

Inflation: CPIH v RPI
One interesting statistic from this morning's inflation announcement (particularly for those interested in inflation-linked gilts) is the RPI figure. This came in at 3.6%, whereas the CPIH figure was 3.9%. RPI usually higher and sometimes much more so (eg March 2023 13% v 9%)

This seems to be different to the “Easy Access” pot. My “primary pocket” shows as “East Access” I don’t understand what any of this means! I then…
