Notice of interest rate reduction on notice accounts
I've got a 95 day account with RCI Bank still paying a generous 5.6%, although not for too much longer. Their summary box says "The interest rate is variable, and we can change the rate of interest on existing accounts by giving you at least 109 days’ notice" I have a 90 day account with Oxbury which says "Oxbury can make…

Zopa Biscuit account
I've just opened a Zopa Biscuit account, after MSE recommendation, and have had massive problems from the word go, including inability to access the money we've transferred in and now they have closed their telephone helpline due to 'technical issues'. This means that we currently have no access to significant amounts of…

Fund Selection
I wanted to try to set out the process that I go through
when I’m looking to add a fund to my portfolio but it became too lengthy to be
useful. Instead, I decided to set out some of the key actions that I go through
in the hope that others will point out important steps that I have overlooked
and will contribute…

ii accounts
May I ask whether ii offers separate accounts eg one account for S&S ISA and a separate account for S&S ? I asked as ii tells me that they are all under one account. So if i transfer in a cash ISA to buy S&S ISA it will be in the same account, and I will need to keep track of it myself. Does that sound right? It does not…

Progressive Building Society - 7% Reg Saver?
Posting a specific thread on this as the general RegSav thread is too busy and thriving for me to follow easily. Hope that's ok. I have an RS with Progressive BS and think I'm only getting 5.5% But I had an email from them which was showcasing a 7% RS. I had to "Make an enquiry" as it doesn't seem to be an account I can…

Zopa savings pots
I've just been offered the increased savings rate of 4.75% on my Access pot with Zopa. I see that if I open a new pot, this will also be 4.75%. I've currently got some 7 day Boosted pots only paying 3.33%. If I give the 7 days notice, will these then become Access pots at 4.75% does anyone know? I guess I could just open…

I have been banking with Chase for some time now, have a current account, credit card and a boosted savings account of 4.3%. The boost on the savings account is due to expire in around 6 weeks time. Jarvis closed, Interactive Investor charges monthly fees, any ideas?
Jarvis / x-o moved share dealing over to the Interactive Investor platform, who are fee free until Jan 2026, but then charge a monthly fee. Does anyone know of any other portfolio sites like x-o which didn't charge a subsciption fee and were on fee charging on trades?

WHAT TO DO WITH A FLEXIBLE BOND WITH PHOENIX LIFE
I have held this bond since October 2003 The amount invested was £30,000. I have taken £5000 from it about 10 years ago to help my son with a deposit to buy a house. I was quite shocked when I received the annual statement about a week ago. Currently the value is £41,083. The value in 2024 was £40,996 which means it has…
