Buying and selling on T212 without limit
I've recently sold about £40k worth of Amundi Global Tracker on T212 and set a limit slightly above current sell price. It is selling in dribs and drabs, about 30k sold in 24hrs, in about 14 chunks of differing amounts..... I also bought 40k worth of VHYL at best which went through immediately in two chunks of slightly…

Kent Reliance Isa transfer to Zopa
The letter from KR advising maturity instructions took over 6 days to arrive after being sent on 15 September, and I only opened it after we got home from holiday on Sunday. It matured yesterday into another 2 year fix, at 4%. I'm thinking the easiest place to shift it would be Zopa as I have a smart save account and an…

Received an email notification that the interest rate on my Ford Money Flexible Saver will reduce from 4.18% to 4.04% wef 14:10:25. Although it shows as 4.18% online, my records show the last change as reducing from 4.35% to 4.27% wef 11:08:25 (the same date when the ISA did indeed reduce to 4.18%). Fired off a secure…

Cost effective way of selling LBG shares
I'm currently doing some housekeeping on finances and have the following query: I hold a small number of LBG shares held with Equiniti (around £120). My understanding is that they would charge a minimum of £45 to sell these, which seems disproportionate. Does anyone have a view on the most cost effective way to sell these?…

1965 and 1982 Holdings
Hi, I am helping my elderly mother sort out Capital Gains implication on selling some shares that she bought back in 1962: I understand that their were two 'Make Up' events in April 1965 and April 1982 but it has been very difficult trying to find out any information about them (including on government websites, where most…

Closest trad fund equivalent to HMWO
So... someone (not me) needs to get out of ETFs (it's a very valid reason but not one I can go into here) and needs an equivalent to HMWO, that they currently hold. Is there a slam dunk equivalent that they can use in the trad fund space?

Tax on interest. Do I get the PSA?
I've retired and got about £9,000 from work before doing so this tax year. I'll already get the Personal Allowance of £12,570 tax free earnings, so any interest up to that will be tax free. Since I earnt below the £12,570 this tax year from non-interest earnings I think I get the additional £5,000 Starting Savings Rate.…

NS&I: Premium Bonds - older than 1990s
Hello there I am the fortunate owner of £5 of Premium Bonds acquired within a year of my birthday circa 50 years ago! Woo hoo! I hear you cry: a whole £5. Well, yes, if adjusted for subsequent inflation (which painfully it is not) it would have been worth £33.89 in July 2025 according to the Bank of England's inflation…

Virgin Money 10.38% regular monthly saver
Hi, just wanted to say that it took me just a few pain free minutes to easily open a brand new Virgin Money M Plus account so that I could subsequently open up and pay straight into its 10.38% regular saver account. It's a maximum of £250 per month and maturity date is 31st July 2025 so that was £162 for about 8 minutes…
