Old Woolwich Building Society Account

Eeek! I don’t know if anyone can help me. I’m trying to help my aunt sort out her finances as she has recently moved into a care home. I noted she is paying £100 a month from her current account into ‘Woolwich Building society 0002’. She doesn’t know what it is and I can’t find anything on Google. I’m currently on hold to Barclays (45 mins so far!) so thought I’d ask here in the meantime. Does anyone know what would have happened to this account? Would it have been transformed into a different Barclays product? My aunt seems to have no paperwork for it. I don’t live local to her so difficult to pop down the bank with her. Thank you!

Woolwich was taken over by Barclays.

If you check the standing order on the Barclays account, you should be able to find the sort code, account number and reference number that it is going to.
