Board title - new poll (more options)
The original poll on the name of this board only had two options and was based on the premise that people were unhappy with the existing title, though quite a few posters said they weren't fussed about it at all. This includes the existing title and those suggested in the other thread, plus the option to suggest a new one.

Singles Holidays
I'm 50 and single and have looked for Singles holidays and come up with hundreds of them so I want to ask if anyone can recommend any particularly good ones. I'm interested mainly in active/sun type holidays with an emphasis on walking or maybe tennis - and meeting new people too. Thanks for any suggestions.

Apple I Pad
Could this be the computer for the seniors? One can't help wondering if Apple hasn't hit on rather a good mix with it's new I Pad product - not so much because of what it can do, but what it can't. It seems to me that many seniors are put off buying computers because most are overstocked with whizz bang technological…

At the moment I receive the state pension and pay tax on it via a tax return. Cold weather payments
One of my friends told me that the cold weather payments only kick in if there have been 7 consecutively below freezing days. What a cop out, as the temps only have to go over 0.00c for a fraction for them to be of no use whatsoever . Is this another Government con to keep the 'grey power' in its place ? I am sitting…

Work for over 60s
Hello, I retired last year at 62, sold my house and moved to France. Unfortunately, because of family problems, I now have to return to the UK. There is no possibility of selling my house here in the near future, and even if I did, I couldn't afford to buy in England. At least if I can keep this house I will have some…

This was eventually sorted out and we just assumed it was a…
