Late Invoice? Customer not paying?
Hi! I invoiced a fashion company for some couture work 1 year after work was completed. They are now refusing to pay on the basis I should have invoiced at the time (during the fashion season) - and that their accounts for that year are filed and they therefore cannot pay the invoice? Surely this is not right? After some…

Wrong banding?
My flat is banded B but my neighbour is banded A. My flat is currently on sale for 10k less than his. I know the system uses notional values from 1990 or close but how can this be a fair system?! It is currently a hindrance to selling my property and I feel if it is supposed to be band A I am due back the extra amount paid…

Council Tax - single occupancy 25% discount
Hi, I don't know a lot about this so hopefully somebody on here can clarify that the council are correct and I am terrible at maths. Rather than deduct 25% from the overall annual council tax charge, the council has deducted it after calculating from my move in date to the 31/03/21. This gives me a monthly payment of £119,…

They also want a photo of the…

Mortgage as non UK resident
Hello all, My girlfriend (who is French and moved in with me in the UK in March) and I would like to jointly apply for a mortgage but the usual high street lenders all appear to need 3 years of credit history. Is this standard? I am British and can borrow without issue (and have done in the past). We've also looked at…

Can anyone recommend a decent company to investigate Interest Only Mortgage overpayments?
I had a large Interest Only mortgage with Birmingham Midshires which was fully paid off when the house was sold approximately 10 years ago, out of the blue earlier this year I received a cheque for about £800 From BM, stating it was to cover overpayments that they had miscalculated over several years, it was then suggested…

Hi! I have recently moved out of a house I was renting and have accidentally paid for an extra month of rent. I have contacted the rental agency but have yet to receive a reply from them (they are usually rather speedy). End of tenancy deposit - Landlord being unreasonable
Hi All, I imagine this is an almost constant request on here, but I'm hoping for some simple guidance. My money is held in a deposit protection service, and I…

Mortgage miss-selling
