Short term insurance?
I need to insure my car today or tomorrow. Given that the best prices are achieved 24ish days ahead, is it worth getting a month's cover initially whilst also getting quote for year's policy?

Car Leasing v. Buying
Hi I currently own my own car but have had constant, expensive repairs on it. Does anyone know of schemes similar to leasing where you don’t have a brand new car & they cover all repairs. Haven’t had any luck with buying a warranty as they quibble when you make a claim & say you are not covered. Long term is it best to buy…

Long story short, there are several lumps of some sort of building aggregate dotted over my car (thanks neighbour, maybe pick better workmen next time -- but that's a different matter). Not sure if motor dealer is pulling a fast one
I'm here to ask for advice as I'm not 100% sure how the second-hand car trade works in the UK. I recently bought a second-hand car from a used car dealer. I part-exchanged my old vehicle for a lower purchase price on the car I bought. After I paid the remaining money via bank transfer to the dealership and paid the tax for…

Scratched someone's lease car in the parking (on foot) -- what now?
I'm in a bit of a situation and could use some advice. Yesterday at work, I was getting my backpack from the passenger side of my car. As I turned to walk away, I heard a light scratch noise. Turns out, my backpack might have rubbed against my colleague's car parked next to mine. I checked and saw a 10cm scratch on their…
