Hi folks. Wonder if anyone could help. My 5008 has started to develop a rattling noise when from what appears to be the steering column.
Does anyone have any ideas what it could be.
I found a YouTube video (linked below) and it sounds exactly like this.

Car due MOT next month and would be good to get it sorted before it goes in.
Thanks.

Need https:// before the YouTube video for it to work. Won't let me post links in comments as I'm too new to the forum.

Difficult to hear on the YouTube but knocking on low speed left turn sounds like drive shaft cv joint2

Is that something expensive to repair do you know. Booked into a local garage this afternoon to have a look. Will post something later when I find out what it is.angrycrow said:Difficult to hear on the YouTube but knocking on low speed left turn sounds like drive shaft cv joint0 -
Just an update. Garage thinks that it's the front shock absorber that's gone on drivers side, aswell as the CV joint. Grease spewing out of it.
They aren't 100% sure it is the shock that's gone. Will only know when they take it all apart.
Been quoted just over £400 for both parts and labour - they said labour costs cheaper because they can do both at the same time.0 -
Shocks, springs and calipers should be replaced in pairs.
I would get the tracking checked afterwards.0
