Car Fuel Benefit. Should I be paying it?

I have a company car.
My company pays for all fuel via a credit card.
I pay per mile for all private mileage I use.
There is currently car fuel benefit as well as my car deduction.
Do I still need to pay this fuel benefit as I am paying for my private mileage?

At what rate are you paying back the private fuel?
Ask your employer why they are reporting private fuel benefit if you feel you have 'made good' the cost.1 -
If you repay all private mileage you should not be paying fuel benefit to HMRC.
I ran company cars for many years on that basis - you keep track of your non-business mileage and repay the company at the approved HMRC rate. Thus no fuel benefit and a huge reduction in tax burden.0 -
What is your employer advising HMRC?0
