Problem car
My colleague has recently bought a year old car. He was told at the time of the sale that it needed a service and was outside of the service window (+/- 500 miles). He took it to the local dealer for a service and rectification on a couple of electrical problems. These were covered under warranty. Less than a week later…

Car rental
I want to rent a car next week for travel to Northern France. I am currently 22 years old and have had no luck finding a site that rents a car to people younger than 23. Can leave from either Bristol or London. Anyone have any ideas?

Quick! Renew your road tax today!
If your car tax runs out at the end of March, renew it today, the 11th, to avoid paying an increased tax after tomorrow's Budget. I always thought you had to wait until the 15th before renewing the tax. However, when I tried to renew online, the DVLA website told me "please try again from the 11th of the month." Well, it's…

Ford Fiesta
Not sure whether this is the right forum to post but I think there must be some ford owners here. On sunday Ford Fiesta Finesse displayed this sign on the board Electronic Accelerator Control failure. Hubby was able to drive only at 16 miles an hr, luckily it was near home. Later on, he tried the car and it was ok. He…

petrol prices
I recently received a forwarded e-mail from a friend that suggested the government is screwing us, the general public, over fuel prices. They said the 'stay away from the pumps' day last year would never have worked because it hurt us (the consumer) more than it hurt them(the supplier). However they also suggested that if…

Need your advice on my car please. I have an old car that is due for an MOT next month, it will not pass and I don't intend to pay for the necessary repairs, it will probably get scrapped. On Sunday someone ran into the side of it and put the wheel out, it is slanted to one side. It was 100% his fault and he admits that, I…

HPI Failing / Care when buying a Car
Ok I've not really posted here before but i've just experienced this first hand and thought it worth pointing out. If a car less then 3 years old is sold to a trader, unless you speak to the first owner of the car the mileage can not be guaranteed. I'l explian it by using my own experience. I have been looking for a car…
