oil boiler replacement
my ancient oil boiler is now beyond repair and I'm off the gas grid so need a new oil boiler. Does anyone know of any scrappage schemes? Although I'm a pensioner, I don't qualify for any grants but can't imagine there isn't some financial incentive to replace an old boiler for an energy efficient one.

Multi-fuel stove - fan advise please
I have a double sided double (glass) door multi fuel stove. The stove sits between a living room and double height hall. The living room tends to get very hot when the stove is fuelled up whereas the hall area is a lot cooler. I cannot move the stove due to the built in register plate/chimney liner so that it is biased…

Spike in gas usage??
Having been stung for a rather large final bill from a previous provider I have been keeping a close eye on our usage. After numerous meter readings from June to date I can see that on average we use 1.5 units of gas a day until September, where average daily usage has shot up to 8.4 units a day. Why could this be? We are…

Gas/Elec changing suppliers through Cheap Energy Club.
I am totally confused why an estimate supplied by Cheap Energy Club & an estimate made direct to company is so way out. I don't know who to believe. Example: and this is not a collective fix so should be similar which ever way you get an estimate. OVO 2 year fix which energy club recommend as a great fix. OVO direct £107…

Ductless Air Conditioning vs Updating Central Heating?
We're just in the early process of moving house, moving to the 'technical forever home' a detached 3 bed bungalow with a concrete floor.
