System to Combi - Flue Questions
Hi all. I've asked this in ukplumbersforum as well but thought I'd give it a bash here, too. :) My plumber is taking out a broken Worcester Greenstar system boiler in a boiler cupboard and replacing it with a Baxi Duo-tec 28 combi. I'd like to have the new boiler in the same place but he's said the horizontal flue/labour…

How much do you pay for your logs?
I've tried several suppliers around me and the only one with always good quality seasoned hard wood is 140 for 1.5 M3. I guess it's not too expensive for a months heating and hot water, but in other parts of the country I was able to pickup about 1m for 35 a few years ago

Woodburner cowl lid has blow off
It's like a big dinner plate. Doesn't look like it was welded onto the wire cage bit that now seems a bit out of shape. Is there a way to reattach it? or does it need a whole new cowl? thanks

Hello experts, I'm hoping you can help me. We are Flow Energy customers, and have been since we moved to our house in July 2015. oil boiler replacement
my ancient oil boiler is now beyond repair and I'm off the gas grid so need a new oil boiler. Does anyone know of any scrappage schemes? Although I'm a pensioner, I don't qualify for any grants but can't imagine there isn't some financial incentive to replace an old boiler for an energy efficient one.

I have a double sided double (glass) door multi fuel stove. The stove sits between a living room and double height hall. Spike in gas usage??
Having been stung for a rather large final bill from a previous provider I have been keeping a close eye on our usage. After numerous meter readings from June to date I can see that on average we use 1.5 units of gas a day until September, where average daily usage has shot up to 8.4 units a day. Why could this be? We are…
